This is so helpful! I frequently read reviews to try and determine the spice of any particular novel. I would say my upcoming series is a 4 on this very helpful scale.
I have found it really helpful, so this is me sharing so more people can use this system 😂 it just seems to work better than a 🌶️ rating, since that always seems to be subjective to the reader (which is fine, it can just be hard to gage since I read a lot of the levels but sometimes I don’t want a ton of spice!) and that’s exciting about your upcoming series!!
I agree! 🌶️ is so subjective. I’ve heard so many people say that COTAR by SJ Mass is so spicy and then I have a close friend who didn’t think it was that spicy at all. I personally won’t read it because I think it would be too spicy for me. I’m honestly still figuring out what I’m okay and not okay with. I don’t like erotica, but if there is a “scene” within a great plot I don’t mind it so much. But I don’t like straight romance where 🌶️ is the main hook.
